WHAT WERE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE SPEAKERS PRESENTATIONS?

I thought both presentations were fantastic. I liked the fact that they shared personal stories and experiences which I could relate to. They are both first and foremost, dedicated mothers and both professional women with careers of their own - proof that it can be done successfully!

 WAS THERE ANYTHING THAT PARTICULARLY CAUGHT YOUR ATTENTION AND MADE YOU THINK DIFFERENTLY ABOUT YOUR CAREER?

 I particularly enjoyed the 'Kaleidoscope' aspect in Jackie's presentation. It was incredibly informative and asked very real and relative questions . Very thought provoking in areas I had not before considered. It made me realise that I actually had a lot of choices and do not have to settle for second best, but in fact perhaps can  find that job or career that I truly want!

 WHAT DID YOU PERSONALLY GET FROM THE SEMINAR AND HOW HAS IT CHANGED  THE WAY YOU FEEL ABOUT RETURNING TO THE WORKFORCE?

 I learned that I can be whoever or whatever I want to be, and there are people to assist me in making that happen. I have often thought about returning to the workforce and "getting back out there" but to be honest it's been quite a terrifying prospect. I often would think "who would want me"?, and "I've lost all my skills and don't know how to do anything anymore". But thanks to the opportunity of attending the "mums back to work" seminar, I was exposed to an afternoon full of exceptional quality and relevant information.

 I no longer feel that returning to work is quite as daunting! It now in fact, is completely possible, and I realise that I have so much to give back that I have learned along my journey of raising my family and being a full time mother. I have learned skills at home that can totally be implemented in the work place. I realise that now I am probably so much better at doing what I do from being exposed to such wide and vast experiences since becoming a mother. I have grown and matured in so many areas and this I feel is the difference in making a good worker into a great worker!!!! I can now look forward to "getting back out there" with confidence and the knowledge of who I am and the quality of what I can give back!
