Job title:

Para planners – part time work has never been more attractive.

Job description:

Flexible! – work where you want when you want

Apply now

We are interviewing now, our clients need to know by the first week in November so we need your applications yesterday!  This dream job won’t come around again so get in quick! Maybe you are ramping up after a career break, or winding back to spend more time on other projects, our client doesn’t mind! If you want (or need) to do some professional development our client would understand and support you in this.

Para planners, (qualified or nearly there) and Financial planners who might be wanting to wind back for a while, this is one role that really is flexible. Whatever you do – don’t leave this one too late, it could be your perfect part-time role with an employer who really values flexibility and understands that sometimes school holidays and the kinder Christmas party come first! Work from home or school hours only,  log on remotely at midnight or when it suits you best, work in the office if that is better – the flexibility of this role cannot be beaten.  If you thought that it wasn’t worth applying for anything in the lead up to the summer holidays you are wrong, this perfect employer is even willing for you to stagger your start so that the holiday juggle won’t be as painful as it may have been in the past, you could even work from home.

Special roles like this one need pretty exceptional people to fill them, not only are you ethical, hardworking and experienced but your attention to detail is a cause of pride and  you are meticulous and well organised.  You work well in a team environment and understand that the sum of the parts is worth more than any individual member can ever hope to offer.

Our Client is an integrated financial services company built on the firmest of foundations.  With a long and distinguished history, they pride themselves on their history of prudent financial management and outstanding personal service.  These include all aspects of financial planning from retirement planning, wealth creation, superannuation and investments.  They also offer a comprehensive stock broking service.

Retail  - No regular weekends!

Job description:

Fashion Sales

Apply now

True maturity is when the disposable fashions of our twenties all begin to seem a bit dated and we start to understand that clothes can really tell the world a little about who we are. Fashion is not just about following the trends. It is about understanding when to mix the classic with quirky, the tailored with ragged and our client is looking for someone like you who understands this and can help their fashion savvy clientele with pulling together their own individual statements.

Ideally you have some retail experience and know how (and when) to step in and help a customer make those important choices for their wardrobe. Investment dressing and funky details combine to create individual style and you understand this well and can help a customer choose the most flattering outfit. Your role is crucial to our client – not only are you the face of the ranges carried in store and one of a small team of experienced sales people but you also need to be able to sell!

The client base is mature, discerning, fashion savvy and appreciates the best. If you know what colours are required for Derby Day and can pull together a funky capsule wardrobe for an overseas stint you are the type of person who we need!

The hours are perfect.  Three days per week – 11am to 5pm (only four Saturday’s per year) and some leave coverage as required.

Job title:

Conciliators – We still need more!

Job Description:
24 hours per week!
Apply now
* Permanent part time interesting roles do exist!
* Here is a chance to prove that your time spent conciliating with the kids can pay off!
We have already placed several happy candidates in these roles and our client is hungry for more of the same!
Our client is one of the several Ombudsmen whose mission it is to provide independent advice, information and referral services to consumers.  The team receives, investigates and facilitates resolution of complaints involving consumers and their service providers.
The role of Conciliator handles receipt, investigation and resolution of complaints from customers. On average each Conciliator manages 40 complaints at any one time (pro-rated for part-time roles). There are well documented case handling policies and processes to ensure achievement of complaint related key performance indicators. The majority of complaints are received and progressed over the phone although most complaints also generate written correspondence. Significant training is provided and is supplemented with the use of mentors and buddies.
The conciliation team is expanding rapidly and this enlightened employer is happy to offer permanent part-time roles of a minimum 24 hours per week. You would have your own caseload and your KPIs will be pro rated to that of a full time equivalent.
If you have some experience with dispute resolution (even on a small scale) and enjoy a fast paced environment, then this could be a perfect re-entry position for you.
The skills needed are: some experience in a dispute resolution role at any level; negotiation and analytical skills; very well developed written and verbal communication skills – applicants must be extremely literate; good knowledge of the Microsoft products; a natural style that ensure clients are also made to feel valued and supported throughout the resolution process; preferably tertiary qualified – any discipline.

Job title:

Enquiry Officer – more please.

Job description:

24 hours per week!

Apply now

Busy Ombudsman's office needs several people like you on their inbound calls team.

If you like chatting on the phone and are looking for a part time role that fits into the rest of your life this could be perfect.

The team of Enquiry Officers has under gone some significant changes in recent times and needs some new people who would enjoy the challenge of being the first point of contact for consumers.

This is an interesting role and one where the successful candidates will want to stay in the role for some time.
Significant “on the job” training is provided and is supplemented with the use of mentors and buddies if you need support but you should still be confident with all of the standard programs - eg Word, Excel and Outlook.

Duties are mainly phone based (see, calling your sister every day is not a waste of time - you were just getting in training) and will include (but not be limited to) receiving and processing, mostly by phone, the first point enquiries to the Ombudsman’s' office including

  • dealing with enquiries concerning service provider issues in a highly professional manner and in accordance with existing policies and procedures
  • advising customers on who they should be contacting at the relevant supplier organisations
  • referring customers through to a Conciliator if required.

This role could be an ideal re-entry into the work place if you have spent a few years 'out' - the people are great, the work is interesting and, best of all, it is part time!
